Hi there, I've been playing Walrlords 3 DLR for years now and have only just found this website. I tried downloading some of the different campaigns on to my computer, unpacked them using the War3 campaign editor however when I start the game and choose new campaign (miscellaneous) they aren't there.

Anyone have any ideas.

I've never heard of that problem before.

First thing to do is make sure they actually got unpacked correctly. So if you look in your Campaign folder do you see folders for the ones you unpacked?

Thanx for getting back to me. When i unpack them to the campaign folder in my DLR directory, either the win rar application says it cant do it or they aren't there when i look. However if i go to the campaign folder through the campaign editor then they are there but the folders have a lock symbol on them which i cant get rid of. I downloaded the v1.02 patch the other day and that worked perfectly first time so dont really know whats going on!?

Right i've now managed to find them but i have had to unpack them somewhere else and drag the folder into the dlr campaign folder. They now show up on the new campaign screen however they cannot load the terrain.dat file. Is this coz i have unpacked them in the wrong place?

It sounds like you are installing into a Windows 7 machine and are not an admin user and so it's making everything read-only. None of the campaign files are read-only in the zip/rar archives. So something related to your user privilege is causing this to occur.

When you unpack a campaign with the campaign editor it unpacks Scenarios (in the Scenario folder) which are the chapters of the campaign. Each of those Scenarios has a Terrain.dat file in it. My guess is every file in those folders is read-only as well.

Hi there, I've checked my user account on the laptop and i have full admin rights over everything. I've managed to extract one of the scenarios straight to the campaigns folder and unpack it okay but when i come to play it on the actual game it still says it cant open terrain.dat scenario so not entirely sure whats going on here but thanx for your help.

Something is getting messed up someplace.

The scenarios for the campaign DO NOT unpack in the campaign folder. They unpack in the Scenarios folder. All that is in the campaign folder is the information that connects the individual Scenarios like the text before/after each one, rewards you get for completing one etc.

That's why I said you should find new scenarios in the Scenario folder when you unpack a campaign.

P.S. Out of curiosity which campaign(s) did you try to unpack?

Right okay something is getting messed up here.

I'll go through exactly what i did.

Download the file to my downloads folder.
Extract using WinRAR to C:\Program Files\Red Orb Entertainment\Warlords III - Darklords Rising\CAMPAIGN folder.
Unpack using war3cmpn
Run the game and go to new campaign, miscellaneous and there is the campaign.
Play the campaign but its says error loading scenario, cannot load terrain.dat


Is this what you have all done or am i just doing it completely wrong!?

I have tried to unpack Gods Staff, LOTR and The Huge Wars.
